I've been having a lot of trouble with this achievement. I'm currently under the assumption that Gustav needs to be taken out, which means I've been hanging around Trails waiting for him to get scared off by the zombies. I know the trick about demoing all the churches and then having people chop wood to make them sad so they de-brainwash, but one of my survivors has been chopping wood for in-game years and still hasn't lost the curse, so what am I missing?

As the title asks, I'm curious of everyone's style of play, do you settle with a small fort of essentials or do you expand as far as possible (with or without conquering the other factions forts) and do you take in every survivor or do you have a cut off limit? I personally like to expand across the entire map, take in all the survivors and usually form alliances with any faction that doesn't try to raid or attack me.
