After playing The Planet Crafter this is definitely a step backwards. The overly cumbersome interface and sterile feeling environment killed it for me.

I like this game. Although I have never played Satisfactory, I have extensively played Planet Crafter and there are similarities. You land on a hostile planet and need to terraform it to Earth standards by collecting resources, researching technologies and progressing through until you tame the planet. It can be a challenge to figure out the nuances of progression and the use of mining and processing machinary but the difficulty is only moderate. Only released to early access in October 2024 but is already progressing well and looking fairly polished. Still, there is a long way to go and I look forward to the journey. The conveyor system is a nice touch and will take some getting used to working out efficient layouts for the delivery of resources and manufactured parts for progression. All in all, an enjoyable game for relaxing with no zombies to disturb your efforts. I suspect pressure will be put on the Dev to include some adversaries, but not for a long time (I hope never). It is addictive and will keep you amused for many hours with definite replayability. There are currently three worlds to terraform with more on the way. No actual story line yet, but I am sure that will come as this game develops.

It'S a good game with much potential, very entertaining but with a few flaws. (have been only 20 hours in game so far)
On the first sight it's a mixture of astroneer, satisfactory and Planet Crafter, three of my favorite games so far.

pros:
- terrain manipulation (similar to astroneer)
- big maps, and a variety of different planets even in early access
- a good amount of crafting chains so far
- no tedious elecrical networking (i love Satisfactory, but energy distribution is the worse for me ;) )
- vehicels
- coop from the early beginning
- unique mixture of first person and top view factory building with the drone
- early terraforming
- easy to understand factory building
- nice big buildings like warehouse and spaceport
- watersimulation is quite good
- day and nightcycle have actual some influence on the characters temperature, nice detail ;)

some points to work on, for the developers:
- I miss vertical transportation (conveyor lifts are really important for multi layer design of factory builds)
- the menu is tedious, so many clicks to navigate through the recepies und buildings list (satisfactory is my personal benchmark for customisable UI)
- the feeling of flying with the starter spaceship is really not htat good, hard to manouver that vehicle
- the planet is still a bit boring (i know, it's your job to make it habitable)
- you are not able to align factory buildings (you have to work with the worldgrid, i know), it's all spaghetti ^^

i hope this game will develop over time, because i'm really eager to see how it will come out. It's a compelling mixture of some good games with some own ideas, I like it yet a lot!
