Dude its a computer game. Nothing else. People who say real man play only melee or sh!t like that show just how immature they are. Because real man could say real man dont play at all hahahahahaha
The second game is harder. There are things I like and don't like. It has better orchestrated music, sounds like VSL, some other samples(nice hall sound and mix)
It looks better and has better over all adjustment of skills etc.
Quests are deeper.
But it so far does not have as many areas to wonder into as the first game.
It has a food mechanic that is hmmm...
Still It's good!
Real Men play Old School RPGs!
Well its way bigger than Book 1. Book 1 has 16 maps to explore plus some dungeons like the lighthouse and the citadel and few underground dungeons.
Book 2 has 20 map areas east of the Ravens Gate plus 6 or so west of the Ravens Gate plus the Fatamurk DLC dungeon plus a way more dungeons you can enter and it has also an extra late game area where have to travel to. You probably just didnt explore all that at your current stage of the game.
I have to agree - the mouse control is what annoys me the most. But you can use the automatic movement in a direction of your chosing without doing anything. So its ok after you find this option. If you dont know just look inte control settings
later.
How do you use abilities? like Pick Lock for example. in character creator i made myself good at it, but in the game i couldnt figure out how to do it, or any other ability for that matter. i could attack, and open chest and unlocked doors. thats about it. oh and cast bless
You use skill automatically like Spot Hidden Check is done every single move you do. Hide in Shadows also. As soon as the requirements are met you are hidden in the shadows but its only good if you have also Move Silently because then even in combat opponents may not find you if you move a few steps.
Lockpicking is done automatically - as soon as you have lock picks in your inventory and you stand directly besides a chest/door and click on that chest/door. A pop up should appear and tell you the chance of you successfully picking that lock. I personally find Pick Locks skill become more and more useless during the game because your damage increase and bashing chests/doors becomes easier and easier. And the XP you get for lockpicking gets lower the higher the chance is you successfully pick a lock. Means later in the game you get 0 XP for picking locks.
If it didnt work for you it means you either didnt have a lock pick or you didnt stand directly besides the chest.
