Even though you mentioned Cities Skylines reached 7 years of development and updated its system requirements, there is still no game performance boost/update within the engine? This is unfortunately... The game has been in need for some kind of engine upgrade or any code improvement to slightly increase game's performance. It's always sad to be forced to reduce game's video settings and sub some mods just to regain some FPS back because of its age.

Would be nice to see a UnityEngine update. This would bring a lot more performance boost even to older PC specs. I do have a heavy machine (AMD 12Core, 6700XT, 32GB Ram), but still have to use FPSBooster mod to get over 40fps. This is just to the old Engine limits. I was hoping for an update on this with Airports DLC. A little disappointing.

That would require them actually work on the broken engine, which would leave very little room for constant DLC's which is perogative.
game go to heavy.
need to update engine update or need more optimization update.

of course, i like new airport dlc.
but go to more heavy cities skyline ;(

i give up, play this game. because my notebook gtx 1070 T.T

Oh look! we have updated the game! That's good right? yeah it is sweet, another DLC that costs as much as the game itself... oh and there's another thing! Since we added content and the crappy engine we run our game on isn't that forgiving as we thought, we are updating our PC Requirements instead of updating the engine or improving the spaghetti code we made for the game itself because the people higher up at Paradox Interactive told us to! Now give us your money and get access to this sweet new DLC we made for those people that are sick of using standard infrastructure we have made in the past and resorted to using Workshop material up to now, with an even more crappy virtual infrastructure we made so you don't have to download all those gigs of sweet and realistic stuff user-made.

I'm still running at max of 8GB RAM, so I guess I'll need to buy a new PC before I can get Airports DLC.
Sohamkar 24 Jan, 2022 @ 8:28am

The Doomed One 24 Jan, 2022 @ 8:33am
