CS1 Cargo stations issue
I recently built a second cargo station on my factory area, but I noticed that trucks instead of using the station are driving on their wheels out of town. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Not all export/contracts/ buyers/customers are naturally bound for the new terminal. There are always contracts that can't be accessed by train if you have highway connected. Also local deliveries would still be handled by trucks.
Question; is the new terminal getting any usage?
There are several things you can do to direct the flow of industrial goods. In your case however none of that likely matters. Goods will always follow the easiest, shortest, quickest, path. Your first cargo station and the highway connection are obviously capable of handing your present cargo flow.

You could cut your highway connection (I never use highway/industrial connections) to try and forces goods to ship via 2nd station. You could try upping your production. You could give the second station a short, quick direct connection straight out of town. You could do nothing and just leave everything the way it is.

Your game, your way but I find two cargo stations in one industrial area put unwanted strain on the line only serves to create additional issues. In your case you've already built the station, so if you're making money and no one is complaining, If I were you I'd just leave it go for a while the way it is.

If all else fails, you can always install and use

which will insure that goods are shipped to everyone including your second cargo station.

I find freight is exported to the outside connection, when all other available options are busy.

Otherwise, freight should use cargo stations if possible (nearest option)

In other words, freight takes the quickest route available to them. (fastest road/length of road) Not all networks have the same speed or length.

Yes, a few trucks are entering the new station in the south of the industrial zone, but it's maybe 1 vehicle per minute at most. On the other hand, the cargo station I built first in the north of the industrial zone is working like crazy and the trains are usually 80-100% full. I can send a picture later to better illustrate it.
Good, it is operating if just barely but it is doing work. It might be a matter of convenience (the quickest route rule) that traffic does not choose the new terminal as much as the original one but that's fine. They are both being used and you will always get traffic or trucks that use the roads rather that the terminals. If you would like to get the new terminal's usage up then yes please send/post a screenshot and we will give opinions. Though with 50 hrs. under your belt at this game few people can get two terminals operating at the same area. You are doing well.

That is interesting, I would think from the screenshot the new terminal would take much more of the traffic. Though the rail also can determine to which terminal is to be used and for what ever. Sometimes both need to be considered. If it is a longer length of rail to the second terminal this can cause a lower usage. This is based on both terminals using the same route. That is they are connected to each other at some point to run along the same track eventually. If the go to separate destinations then that is your answer. The second destination is less popular.
