As a side note, you might have noticed our Halloween ’24 Open Playtest is still available.

You also might have noticed that we haven’t updated our Playtest since, well, November 2024.

Our previous announcement had informed that Patch 3 was the last for the playtest, and there’s a good reason for that – it’s just a Playtest and not an Early Access build with a live road map.

The objective for the Halloween ’24 Open Playtest was to collect feedback for us to learn how to make a better game.

It wasn’t meant to be a representation of the final product.

However that being said, we are keeping this version of the Halloween ’24 Open Playtest available for download until further notice. This is for curious gamers who want to have a sneak peek at what we’re working towards. So please share this steam page with you friends!

We are now working towards our next development milestone – a Steam Next Fest demo and we couldn’t have come this far it without your contribution.

Time bugged

one bug in the beta test im getting is when it hits 10.59 pm its closing time but the time just stops moving no new customers and my waiter and cook just stand around nothing else happens and time just stops, im not getting the attack tutorial and im having to restart the game every single time, ive given up for now ill try in a month or something when its fixed...

Midwest 90: Rapid City - Halloween '24 Open Playtest

Happy Halloween!

It's been a while since we have had an open playtest for Midwest 90: Rapid City, over a year actually.

We're a tiny team who faced a lot of challenges throughout the year but we kept going and we'll keep going until M90 is ready.

We wish could have made this announcement sooner, we released the playtest on the 24th of October and haven't set an end date for the playtest but we have this patch schedule that you can refer to for the moment.

We still have a lot to do for the game but with your feedback we can finally move out of the alpha stage and aim for the finish line.

Thanks for all the support, we are 2230 wishlist and we hope we can grow that in the next few months so that we can secure some financial help from either a publisher or an investor.

Intriguing game....

Great concept, but the bugs are overwhelming. Mainly the fact that the game constantly freezes and you have to reload. With a little more work it could definitely be a gem of a game, but in current state almost unplayable.

game breaking issues....

so after the first day it never popped up and asked me to end the day. had to save / reload - no issue. but why are there no staff to hire? i lost 2 to the first attack. had a couple quit and ended with just wallace and 1 other, basically impossible to do anything from there. finally got to the point of restaurant expansion and then got locked onto the liberty fund screen and could get out of it due to have practically no money so unable to deposit anything as it wanted $200 which i didnt have. couldnt c...

What a gem!

It's rare to find an early demo/playtest like this; it already plays very smoothly and feels more cohesive and structured than some early access games ever manage. Nothing janky, or too obviously unfinished, or anything. Did provide my feedback in the survey; hope it helps ("requiring an answer" to every question made me lie a few times though - I don't do social media, for example ^^), but thought the forum could do with a thread too. Best of luck with the project. Genuinely a fun game already :)...

Bug in Attack Tutorial

When I get to the part in the tutorial where the dogs attack the restaurant, they get stuck at the entrance to the maze and the game stops progressing.
