It's a shame that I can't recommend this game mechanically it is well done, but the amount of bad balance completely overshadows any and all sense of fun this game could be offering.
Well lets start with the good.

1. Movement feels fluid and responsive.
2. While the combat is nothing more than basically button mashing it is still kinda fun since you position matters somewhat.
3. Decent variety of enemies and rooms.
4. Decent meta progression with impactful talents.
5. Fun little site challenges that you can do to unlock new items for future runs.
6. Being able to build your own path is a fun little twist of the genre, could use a bit more room variety though.

So now on to the bad.

1: The most important problem by far is the fact that enemies, and especially bosses, are just way too tanky and have too much health after act 1.

This not only completely ruins the flow of the game by having you spend way too much time button mashing a single enemy, it also just stretches your average run by a lot. It's a shame since Act 1 feels amazing to play. The game only has 3 acts or "biomes" and that is ok, no need to stretch the run length artificially by making every enemy take ages to defeat.

2: Bosses are too hard because of their insane amounts of health.

This is more of an extension of the first point, but bosses in this game are straight-up unfun to fight against thanks to their massive health pool, which gets coupled with the fact that half of the time you can't even hit them because they are either out of your range or are doing some attack that forces you to get away from them. The attacks they do are mostly fine and can be dodged after a bit of learning, but the health is just over the top, it turns bosses into more of a DPS check rather than a skill check.

3: Most items are straight-up garbage/not impactful, or just boring.

While the game has many different items, most of them are way too situational or just bad and don't make you feel much stronger. It's a shame when some of the best items in the game are simple stat ups like "10% more weapon damage" and stuff like that. I also think that this is a reason why it takes so long to even kill basic enemies since there are very few ways of actually increasing your damage throughout a run. In a game like this, you need items that not only make you stronger but also change the way you play in any given run, while here I sometimes don't even notice I have certain items since they are just so niche or situational. Which in turn makes every run feel the same.

While it looks like the good outweighs the bad, the bad is so impactful to the overall fun and flow of the game that I just can't see myself playing this any further. All this game needs is a big balance pass over most of the items and health scaling, and then you have a decent game. Until then, I can't recommend the game.

A very fluid and intuitive rouge-lite action plat former, there are obvious inspirations this game is leveraging from but in my opinion that is a good thing, we need more games like this, that take the best elements of other rouge-lite's and incorporate them in itself with a nice twist. Only the good stuff.

The room building system is a neat mechanic that keeps things interesting, the whole curse dynamic makes you manage your resources carefully.

Overall a very pleasant and fun game to play if you like these kinds of games, definitely recommend!

Excellent new rogue with a very funny mechanic that I haven't seen before.
Being able to build rooms in the dungeon feels pretty great. I first thought it was cheating, but the game is well-balanced enough to make it challenging.
The developers thought of backtracking — you can teleport to any previously visited room, and honestly, I feel that every rogue should have this kind of mechanic.
The game feel is great, and there are tons of items to play with. I had many broken runs that felt really enjoyable.
The art style and audio are also awesome. The game is beautiful, the music is entertaining, and the sounds are very satisfying.

It’s a pretty damn good game on its own, but getting it for only 15 bucks is a real steal. Everyone should try this one!
