Requires 3rd party account? Nope, I'm out.
This is an arcade game. Press Start -> play is what I expect. Offline, no launcher, no account creation - nada.

I won't buy this in that state. Maybe PS5 on a sale because they just use the PSN data for their f'n tracking at least.

Who cares?
Make a dummy email with a fake name and sign up that way.
Not everything is an outrage.

It says that on Steam but I didn't have to sign up or login to anything with Activision.
Original post is 100% right and he does not have to like it. The price is too high and I am not taking the chance of the third-party logon. I own the remastered 1-2 and got it cheap so I am happy for now.

I'm dumb but I don't see this game ask me to login Activision account?

I didn't even know Activision had a third-party launcher. I knew they cannibalized Battlenet to shill CoD, that happened right before I stopped playing Overwatch back when it was turning into competitive-pandering esports slop. Guess it shows how long it's been since I bought anything, Sekiro was the last and that definitely wasn't for the Activision component.

Just another one for the long, LONG list of reasons to never support this dogwater company again. Not that paying £40 for a couple of PS2 games I still own was that appealing to begin with... :2016bee:

So does this game have a mandatory PSN Activision login or does it not?

mate ive been playing games since the 90s. everybody has signed up for an email, everyone has an isp, mostly everyone has a phone plan, most people have used ea, ubisoft, played cod, signed up for steam etc. no harm in signing up to something else.

if you have used facebook and google your data is leaked everywhere on the internet.

the activision ID is only for multiplayer

Been gaming since the 80s.
It's a simple solution to a nonexistent problem.

You don't need to make an Activision account/login at least if you want multiplayer, but you can play the rest of the game without it.

WHats your problem, just say NO to using an activition account and play. I played the Game Pass Version first, and din't ogged in there.

Everyone sure there's no 3rd party client to install here right? I don't like 3rd party logins for offline games but for multiplayer it makes sense.
