Instantly refunded 1+2 just for that reason, wanted to play on steamdeck on the go, not gonna even bother with 3+4 I guess, and I'm the ideal audience for a THPS remake. But I'll rather boot up THPS3 if this is the case
Actually you just have to set a startup flag in the Steam options for the game to pass to the executable that you're running the game on a Steam Deck and then it ignores the always online requirement. That's how I use it on my GPD Win 4 (which is a portable PC and should be just as entitled to play the game offline as a Steam Deck).
Since it's clearly just an artificial requirement, having it at all make it once again objectively inferior to non-legitimate copies and honest buyers (us) look like clowns.

I debate between numerous games when I purchase and something like Online Only is gonna get it voted out of the cart every time. We know we don't own games anymore, but the least you can do is let us play offline.
