Wasn't able to run on deck. Instant crash. Any compatibility plans?

Tried to play the game on my steam deck and when launching the game the game never starts and just boots me back to the steam library. I have played the game before on my steam deck and it worked flawlessly but after trying to play now after a couple months it just doesn't work. Strangely, when I enable "force the use of specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select proton hotfix, the game launches normally, but I would rather be running the native Linux version instead. I am running this on a linux machine and for some reason I get a development build even though I am not subscribed to the beta channel. I haven't started the game until after the update today, so I don't know if that was the case before the update. I know it's technically not officially supported on linux, but everything works really well. How do I unlock this achievement? I've finished all levels several times, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm sure there are other requirements, so if anyone knows, please let me know.
