I think that the game is genuinely way too painful (at least when you're starting) because the enormous trees that are required for such basic items is tedious and annoying.

I got this game because I'd just beat Astroneer and wanted a fun experience with my friend. I think that this game has potential, but it's too frustrating.

For example:
In astroneer, the basics are EXTREMELY simple to get and you can get an unlimited amount of the very basic materials with the centrifuge. This speeds up the early game so that you get to the fun part faster. You can even create storage items super cheaply! All it takes for the basic storage is 2 resin (a material that can be found within like 0 nanoseconds of spawning in. You can also get it with soil in the centrifuge). In this game, you need a PCB and lightweight material structure or whatever. For that you need at least 3 different "factories" or whatever you want to call them. And with each of those "factories" it gets more and more complicated to the point that it takes 30+ minutes to get a basic furnace. The tutorial is also barely helpful at all, the wiki is useless, and the in game links don't work. I had to get to ChatGPT just to learn something the tutorial should've introduced me to immediately. I think that this game has a LOT of work to do if it wants to catch up with Astroneer, Factorio, and heck, even the create mod in minecraft can provide a better experience if you know what you're doing.

This game has some solid potential, but in it's current state, I wouldn't recommend this for the casual player looking for an Astroneer-like experience.

so far one of the worst game i have ever tried to start out as a noob in

1: terrible UI what does half of it even mean? so i want to play normal yeah well you cant cause its called rabid? wtf... and you cant set the sound that destroys your headset... the menu list the dlcs as labels you can click exept they do nothing why?!... this set the pretext for insanely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up

2: Terrible optimization runs like garbage on a 2025 pc on a 10 year old game wtf (dont need more than 60 fps but even there it lags)

3: what the fck im i doing? cant figure out how to do stuff tried the trainning only thing i got out of that was Q for scanner R for rotate and X for build menu....too complicated really

4: Multiplayer does not seem to work without doing all kinds of things to my router (which i cant since my ISP have locked my ports) run ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peer to peer

Fun and simple factory. One of the original that i still play.
