Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug where if you click escape to exit out of the Player Customization you could not enter the settings anymore.
Fixed a bug where the hats you selected on the player customization section would not be shown.
Fixed a bug where it would be hard to see the screen due to blurry edges in Willow Creek Cottage & at Base Camp.

Temporary Fix

We've received reports from some players who are unable to save the game or move their camera. We’ve implemented a temporary fix for camera movement while the save settings issue is being resolved.

Equipment Lag Fixes - v0.2.2.1

Improvements

Made minor adjustments to the lobby to remove foliage from areas where it shouldn’t be.
Added a "Host" indicator to identify the lobby host.
Added a 'in game' text to peoples lobbies if they are in game to avoid confusion.

Optimization

Improved the entire backend system for items, so you should no longer experience lag when adding a substantial number of items.
Enhanced the backend for purchasing items from the shop.

Fixed one of the weekly tasks going outside of the screen.
Fixed the wrong footsteps on certain materials in the lobby.
Fixed a bug where it would say the host was not ready.

New Trophy, Weekly Tasks & Early Customization | v0.2.2.0

Added

Early Access Player Customization, this is a feature that there will be added more to in the future like unlockable cosmetics, etc. You can customize your hats right now by entering the clothing rack in the lobby by the campfire.
A new obtainable overkill challenge trophy
First set of 5 weekly tasks available for money & XP.

Player Customization

All players have received 9 free hat cosmetics. More unlockable cosmetics will be added in the coming days as we expand this system.

Removed Halloween Decoration

Improvements

Added a XP section under your level where you can see how much XP you currently have and how much more you need.
Updated the general laptop widgets to have a larger screen.
Dead players can now open hiding spots.
Added more hunting sounds for the ghost.
Redesigned the look of the geddit locations forum.
It now shows above the start expedition button how many players that needs to ready up.
Made Crazy Clown Carnival less dense with the fog.

Fixed a bug with the leveling system not resetting XP so it was easier to level up.
Fixed a bug where certain achievements could not be obtained.
Fixed a bug where at certain scenarios the journal wouldn't save the text.
Fixed a bug where the insects roaming the house might have been lagging and rubber banding for clients.

Added

New ghost movement system which creates more dynamic scenarios. In situations where the ghost is very fast (especially in higher difficulties), it has a higher chance of crashing into walls and similar due to its speed and acceleration.

Improvements

Made it so you can leave the lobby chairs by pressing E anywhere instead of having to look at the chair directly.
Made it so the camera system laptop doesn't spawn in unless there's a camera item brought into the investigation.

Optimization

Optimized Rookridge Hollow to achieve some more FPS.

We are investigating an issue where the fog at the Crazy Clown Carnival location is excessively dense.

The level system is now fixed, and you can level up after completing investigations. The EXP you gain is half of the money you earn in each match.

Improved the Spirit Box backend systems to make it easier getting the evidence.

Added

A death penalty has been added, causing you to lose 75% of your earnings if you die during an investigation.

Improvements

Added a system to the laptop that displays an error message if the client cannot connect to Steam. (Without a valid connection to Steam, you will be unable to earn money and other rewards.)
Updated the description for the camera in the Amazonas store.

Fixed a bug where dead players would go bald & visible if a alive player interacted with a laptop.
Fixed a bug where you would keep your crucifix after a successful investigation even if it got used.

New Nightvision | v0.2.1.4

Improvements

Remade nightvision for a creepier look
There is now a short countdown when returning to base camp from a location, giving you the chance to cancel if you misclick.
The text you write in the notebook will now be saved even after you close the game.
The notepad animation now holds the notepad closer to your face for easier viewing.
The animation for accessing laptops, settings, etc., while in night vision has been sped up. The duration remains the same for enabling/disabling night vision normally.
Changed the look of the laser grid projector pattern.
Buffed the flashlight a tad bit.

Fixed a bug where the dowsing rods might not have worked if there was 2 of them in the map.
Fixed a pivot point issue with the Laser Grid projector
Fixed a bug where the player might not have achieved the halloween trophy after doing the event.
Fixed a bug where the FOV would change after interacting with a laptop / settings menu while in night vision.

New Map & Optional Objectives | v0.2.1.2

Optional objectives to obtain more money for doing tasks in a match.
'Grimwater Tunnels' location is now available
More in-depth graphic settings are now available in the settings menu

Improvements

Added the total money count gained on the summary screen.
You will now automatically go into the laptop after a match to see the stats instead of having to click on it yourself.
Added an indicator if you're going into a map with no items.
You can now click 'space' to access the laptop from anywhere in the lobby.
Added a feedback message if you try to join a lobby with the wrong password.
Added hiding closets upstairs in Manor.
You can now see what game version you are playing on in the main menu.

Fixed a bug where if a client went into the laptop it might disable the nightvision for everyone else.
