Without him the game was a NO GO for me.


Here his words, worked 100% :

I have had to add the config and game exe to the DEP settings.

To do this on 7 & Vista & Win 10 :

Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings (This last bit is near top right)

In Window that opens click Settings button on Performance at the top

Click Data Execution Prevention tab

In there make sure bottom button above window is highlighted.

At the bottom it has Add. Click it then go into the directory where you have the game installed and there are 2 files, the config and main exe. Add one of them then click Apply, then add the second one and click apply.

Should be good to go after this.

You also have to do this with Divine Divinity on Steam to get the intro to run, additionally you have to do the same with a few of the Tomb Raider games (Legend & Anniversary) to even get them to start.

- Don't apply any patches to the Steam exe or you'll be asked for the serial = turns invalid (if it happens, go to Library, Knightshift, Properties, Installed Files, Verify Integrity = Serial works again )

- More resolutions.
After running game once

Start, type regedit, run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER ---> SOFTWARE ---> Reality Pump ---> BaseGame ---> Graphics ---> Setup (NOT XSetup)
ShowAllRefreshRates
Right click it and modify, change value from 0 to 1

Now, more are resolutions available.
likely, you can play in your native one.

- As always, personally I apply Large Address Aware if possible, gives more memory,
