Low framerate during the final boss
The game runs at a smooth 60 FPS throughout the whole game but during the final boss, right after the snakes, the framerate drops to the low 20s and 10s and after a while into single digits. Going into windowed mode helps a tiny bit, but it still runs poorly.

I'm running a:
Ryzen 5 7600X
RX 7600
32 gigs of RAM

Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone know how to fix it? I'd appreciate the help.

I'm getting the exact same issue

Ryzen 5 5600X
RX 6700XT
32GB Ram

Mine happens whenever a large enemy explodes or I use a near max energy attack. Against the final boss after the snake it drops to 5
So, I may have found the culprit and it's a bit silly.
While running the game in windowed mode, having the cursor in the middle of the screen tanks the framerate. If I move the cursor outside of the game's window then it runs really well all of a sudden.

That's weird. I knew Aero made games lag.
I play in fullscreen so I can't test the cursor. Don't have a second monitor either, but I did find a really weird fix that I've been able to replicate several times without fail.

Streaming my entire screen on discord to a friend or alt and then running the game completely fixes the framerate issues. It seems to only work if I have at least one viewer in the stream. If my only viewer leaves the stream then the framerate issues come right back.

Absolutely no idea why or how this works but it's something
The cursor thing may have been a one-time thing as I haven't managed to replicate it, though it's worth mentioning that the game does run better on Linux through Proton than it does on Windows 11. The game running better through a Discord stream is just plain silly. I would hope that this port gets fixed eventually but it seems like this version of the game is pretty much abandoned.

It sounds outlandish, but streaming the game to my other account on discord has been the only way I've been able to play. Also tried the game in Windows Sandbox and exact same issue
