It's a very wierd game but I'm glad I can finally play it.
Gameplay is very similar to Resident Evil but made in Suda51 style, weapons are unusual and fun to use.
OST made by Akira Yamaoka is fantastic. Plot is nothing serious but it really doesn't matter in this case.

First off, this game is a bit of an oddball. Released back in 2011, it was basically a love letter to everything that's wrong with video games. You play as Garcia Hotspur, a Mexican demon hunter with a penchant for getting into trouble and...well, being cool.

The gameplay is more or less a rail shooter, but don't let that fool you - this game is all about the story and the atmosphere. And boy, does it deliver. The tale of Garcia's quest to rescue his girlfriend from hell is full of twists and turns, and I mean that in both senses of the word.

But hey, who needs polish when you've got style? Shadows of the Damned is a game that wears its weirdness on its sleeve (or rather, its bulletproof vest), and I gotta respect it for that. So if you're in the mood for something that's equal parts B-movie camp and actual gaming goodness, then this is definitely worth checking out.

Just don't say I didn't warn you about the...erm...interesting...camera work.

But here's the thing: beneath all the style and flair, Shadows of the Damned is just a pretty shallow game. The gameplay gets repetitive fast - it's essentially "point your gun at things until they die" for hours on end, with very little variety to keep things interesting. And don't even get me started on the puzzles, which are often more annoying than challenging. You'll spend minutes trying to figure out how to open a door that requires you to shoot a specific sequence of pipes in a very specific order, only to have it just plain not work sometimes and require an extra load or two. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Score: 6/10 more style than substance, just watch a youtube walkthrough.

EA made suda rewrite the games plot seven times, after which he gave up and just started ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with it.

The game is resi 4 but super silly and with poop and ♥♥♥♥ humor.

I love it 8/10
