Still, how is Epic making money off of something you purchased 9 years ago? They bought Psyonix in 2019. Unless you purchase ♥♥♥♥ in the in-game shop which would be on you 100%. And if you kept doing it since they moved that's still something they profited off of from you, based on your voluntary decisions. Same goes probably for ♥♥♥♥ tons of other people who have been very fine letting them profit from their purchases but NOW draw the line when apparently the problem is a sign up for a free account.
Anyone who kept buying anything and throws a fit now is a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hypocrite.
My last purchase was the DC dlc pack from 2018. Personally I can't refund because I got a key for the game in a giveaway (I think). I would still not try to get a refund because I would feel VERY stupid playing the game for years and then ask for a refund.
After fiddling around with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I have a solution but I'll post it as a seperate discussion but you won't like it because you'll still need the account even if it is just for a minute.
The first couple of times is just the AI and that will just look at hours played and thus deny you.
If you keep pushing for refund, then after a few times it will be a human whom looks at it and they will grant you a refund.
Hence me trying to convince the Support at least 8 times they continued to refuse a refund for me as during the time the request was made it was not finalized with the forced Sony account. Not have really looked at the game anymore but i think even up to this day Helldivers 2 is still restricted for countries where Sony is not supported to buy the game.
No idea however if it will work for Rocket League due of the EGS requirement as well or if the support stays on the "no chance to get a refund" way. However i think i´m one of the few who won´t request a refund as i have a EGS account that was needed for another game and so far everything works fine and never had any issues. Never had purchased anything from there anyways so they have only my address.
At best it maybe will be a good thing to reduce the amount of smurf accounts and stuff to see more balanced games again.
It depends.
If you are ie. a US citizen there is no help, you will be stuck.
EU citizens have other laws and most likely get a refund.
Find the game, then request refund
