The next major update is scheduled for Friday, August 23. Come celebrate a major milestone with us where we will introduce our first boss mechanics to Athos. This formidable new boss will challenge players like never before, requiring new strategies and skills to defeat. There is also a new point of interest, the Marbon Castle where players can find the new boss. With this new boss available, we surely need new loot and more levels to progress.

With this update, the blueprint level cap will be increased to Level 40, allowing for even more advanced and intricate crafting. Players will have access to many new crafting recipes, offering a wider variety of options to enhance their characters. New weapons will be introduced, enabling players to build their character to be strong enough to take on the new enemies. These additions will provide a richer, more immersive experience as you explore the expanded world of Athos.

Lets not forget the new dinosaurs we are adding. Three new dinosaurs will be added to tame and fight. One of the dinosaurs is Deinocheirus, a fascinating dinosaur species discovered in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia on earth, which will be wandering the forests in this update. It is believed to be an omnivore, feeding primarily on plants. Its large size and powerful claws deter predators, while its long arms and beak allow it to forage for a variety of food sources.

In this update we did alot of improvements and fixes to Dinosaurs behaviors. There is still alot of work to be done but we are slowly moving forward with improvements to them. From this update forward we will be consolidating all the official servers to just one official server for players. As we continue to improve Athos we look forward to seeing the community in the game.

• Improved Dinosaur AI, dinosaurs will now move and turn to align themselves with the player before they attack a player. This is more realistic than just turning in place.
  
• Converted all inputs to the New Unreal Engine Inputs system.
  
• Dinosaurs will now do damage to NPC's when they attack them.
  
• Fixed saddle slot not showing up on some tamed dinosaurs.
  
• Dinosaur will no longer turn into the player when he get's tamed.
  
• Guard settings on tamed Dinosaurs will now set the dinosaur to follow the player and when the player is attacked it will attack the creature or NPC that Attacked the player.
  
• Added sort options for containers to sort between name, value and amount. It also auto stacks items when sorting.

This is a small update with a revamped Ui to better suit our game style. We also expanded the food and drink items and re-designed the gateway doors so players can place gates on their main buildings.

This is a major update which has taken us a bit longer but we hope the wait was worth it. We have made many fixes and added allot more content. Players now wont be stuck at just a certain amount of ability points but can get more points from looting treasure chests. We also added player followers which can be summoned from a shrine. It will require a player to capture a Monacu Tribal NPC soul. Dinosaurs will now be able to harvest resources to help out with those who like building. With this update all Official Dedicated Servers has been wiped to ensure there are no bugs from previous saves.

• Fixed Well to allow placing watering can inside the inventory.
  
• Added a hunger amount to all vegetables you farm so when eaten it increases hunger.

Lay back on your deck and watch the waves crash on the beach! But always keep a eye out for anything else that moves. In this patch we added a new ocean system as well as farming. You will be able to buy seeds from a test merchant with tokens you get from killing NPC mobs. The farming and merchant system is still experimental so expect some bugs.

This update is our biggest update so far. It brings in a taming system and mount system, upgrades to the wild dinosaurs movement and so much more.


New:

• Added quality types to tools; you can loot better quality items like uncommon, rare or epic items.
  
• Added in repair station where you can repair tools and other items.
  
• New higher quality resources added which will be used for crafting and repairing better quality items.

• New guild system so players can form their own guilds, invite players to their guild and see who is online in a multiplayer game.
  
• Reworked Dinosaur taming which allows players to feed them by hand. If it is a herbivore, you can feed them right away if you have the right food in your inventory. If it is a carnivore, you will need to get their health below 50% before you can feed them. Each dinosaur will have a preferred diet. Using items like berry paste or meat sacks will tame the animals faster.
  
• Added leveling system to tamed dinosaurs which allows you to level your tame and improve their stats.
  
• We have limited commands in tames for now, more to come soon.
  
• Reworked wild dinosaurs added levels. Wild dinosaurs will also level up when they kill another dinosaur.
  
• Added mount system. Currently only a Parasaurolophus and a Triceratops have saddles to mount them. You can ride and attack with them.

We are excited to release patch 1.6.8. We concentrated mostly on getting the game stable with improvements on the server system. That being said, we did add some content and polish existing elements. Most important of those, is the upgrade to the Character creation system. We also changed some dinosaurs models. On a side note, you now have to watch out for the tribal warriors roaming the lands. They are not friendly and will hunt you down if they take sight of you!

In this post, I would like to shed some more light on how mounts will work in Athos. Players have the ability to tame Dinosaurs by placing food down for them on the ground, when they eat the food they will start the taming process and slowly become tamed. At this point, a player can claim the animal as a tame. Tamed Dinosaurs can also be commanded to do different things. A defend stance will allow the dinosaur to attack a target if he is attacked, follow will make the tame follow his owner and stay will make the tamed dinosaur stay at that location.

Players can unlock different saddle types as they progress. Examples of different saddle types would be a Small Transport Saddle or a Small Runner Saddle. Each saddle can be placed on the same dinosaur type giving it different attributes. However, size does matter. Only small saddle types can go on small dinosaurs, whereas only large saddle types can go on large dinosaurs like a T-rex. Each saddle type will give the mount unique attributes like increased carry weight or a speed boost. Once you have tamed your Dinosaur, you can place a saddle onto the dinosaur to change his attributes and also to mount him. Some saddle types will allow for extra players to mount the dinosaur, or even have a weapon mounted on them to use in sieges. All mounts will have the ability to attack other players or mobs when mounted.
