SHORT REVIEW : a simple mining platformer that takes good elements from other similar games. For a cheap, discounted price (€10 is a bit too much for what it offers), it can give a few hours of fun, but it suffers a lot from repetitiveness and can become boring quite fast.

> Gameplay ( 6.5 / 10 ) : we have to dig deeper and deeper in a vertical map, collecting precious ores and going back on the surface to sell them and buy upgrades. There are small caves we have to explore and solve puzzles to unlock special powers and fight enemies.
The whole game revolves around repeating the same actions (dig, collect, sell, upgrade) until reaching the lowest level and eventually unlocking all powers and upgrades.

> Story ( 5.5 / 10 ) : few characters guide us into an empty world, where the whole point of the game is just to make money or higher scores, without having a reason to do it.

> Aesthetics ( 7.3 / 10 ) : simple and very colourful, with characters recalling Ubisoft's Rayman, the game is generally good-looking and with a nice attention to detail and variety, while lacking a bit of personality.

> Audio ( 6.0 / 10 ) : sound system is very basic and it is enough to provide a decent experience with music and sound effects, but they didn't put much effort into this aspect.

> Difficulty ( 5.5 / 10 ) : the whole game feels a bit too simple, for a platformer focused on puzzles and exploration. While at first it can look challenging without upgrades, you realise quickly that you just need a bit more mining to get what you need to get through an obstacle.

Excellent game with a good game play loop getting upgrades, armour, tools, to dig deeper faster and safer. Nice sweet spot of 6-8 hours relaxed game play. Recommended. Enjoy.

Since i played the 2nd game first, i didn't expect this game would be much shorter than the 2nd one. I thought it would be close. But its not a bad thing. Sometimes less is enough. Its still a fun game, and the story nearly similar to the 2nd game but simplified. Platforming feels smooth and not much difference. The early game can take quiet a while since your tool was crap and can take forever to even dig one tile, so be patience with the early game. Other than that, nothing is too bad and too good, its as balance as it is.
