Bug Report: list of issues I've encountered so far.
I will be updating this post if I encounter more on my next playthroughs. I will also be adding feedback.

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS

Soul Reaver 1

- Kain's model looks oily and weird. It would be nice if his textures got tweaked out a bit.

- Dumah gets stuck at the obelisk room during the chase sequence.

- The Ruined City unlockable count in the map does not register properly, getting stuck at 0/1 life upgrade pieces even after acquiring it.

- There is a very rare bug at the bonfire room at the Razielim territory near the door to the warp gate. When you come back to this area from the door at the opposite side of the warp portal, the map will not load, leaving Raziel in an empty void. This can be fixed by crossing the door once again, and this might be an error from the original version of the game, since I can recall this happening in it too.

- Sometimes, the Rahabim’s projectiles cannot be deflected by TK, although I just encountered this issue once.

- The bars at the lower level of the area when you first encounter the hooded wraiths cannot be phased through in the spirit realm.

- The first human you ever come across is completely indifferent to Raziel's presence [It seems that some devs want to keep it that way. Please don't, honor the original game, fix the bug.]

- There was a single instance in which I started one of the Lost Levels and the game started a New Game for SR1 instead of opening the Lost Level. This just happened once and never again in several sessions.

- The achievement "You Are Persistent, Raziel" cannot be unlocked by comming back to Dumah. I discovered this on the PS5 version and I'm not sure if this is the case on PC. So far this is the only boss that I'm aware of that has this problem. Please mention in the comments if you had a similar issue with him or other enemies.

Soul Reaver 2

- During the first in-game cutscene, when Moebius shows Raziel a vision of Kain at the Pillars, old graphics are used. You can easily notice that the old Kain model is in display on new graphics mode.

- The PS2 blurry effect when Raziel finds the physical Reaver is missing.

- The texture of the reflecting panels in the Dark Forge look really bad.

- There are giant black boxes on top of the mummies at the Air Forge.

- The music volume is too high during the final act, when Raziel makes his final travel through time.

- Human Raziel's new model's face looks weird and oily. Also, he keeps his eyes open when he's dead, in the original graphics, he has them closed.

- Moebius does look very oily too, I would love it if they tweaked it a little.

- Kain still looks oily in this one.

- The Sarafan Priestess looks weird and less detailed compared to the other human enemies.

- Some subtitles across the game go very fast, and sometimes they don't show up.

- Fade outs do not work properly, as effects such as light sources and particles are still visible through them. This happens during cutscene transitions or cutscene skips.

- The Scare the Crows! achievement might be a bit buggy. I tried in my two playthroughs of the game to scare every single crow in the eay to the forge and it did not trigger. It seems that a popular YouTuber specialized in guides posted a workaround in which you have to save in the sorrounding area and then try again. The author of that post is PowerPyx.

- The spectral world version of the cutscene that happens right after the fist Kain meeting cannot be skiped, the physical world one can, though.

The sounds don’t play for me when I go through warp gates and the sound when I swing the reaver and the bells in the silenced cathedral are super quiet.

If you smash one of the first two dumahim you encounter with the block, the camera goes to a really weird spot as the Elder God explains eating the soul quickly.

The controller issue may be resolved by disabling Steam Input. A lot of games don't have "proper" controller functionality when going through Steam's API.

Noted. I'm going for my second playthrough to test some things and do some corrections and updates if need be.

This seems to be the solution to the problem with the DualSense, and as for the Impale achievement, I did it again and it worked properly, so maybe it was just my mistake. I edited the list accordingly.

You cannot control the camera with your mouse while underwater.

At the bell puzzle on the Cathedral stage, I was forced to switch to old graphics (disable the remaster new textures) to reach the second bell in time.

SR1:
-The Spanish subtitles of the new intro are out of sync.

-In the opening scene when the Elder God is talking to Raziel after he woke up, there is a shot where the camera points up and you can see Raziel's scarf covering the view, this obviously did not happen in the original game.

-When you meet the first human soldier in Soul Reaver 1 (Melchiah territory, after the cinematic where two green vampires kill a human and eat him), he does not attack you, if you see him again after the humans worship you, the soldier will be with his idle animation (sometimes he doesn't even have animation and is completely frozen) and won't worship you (he is the only human in the entire game who doesn't do this), also you cannot feed on him like the other humans.

EDIT: The developers said in discord that it is on purpose, they did it this way to get people to get the achievement, so apparently they are not going to fix it.

Bruh :bbtcat:

-When you fight Kain for the first time, the Spanish subtitles get stuck and the ones that should appear don't appear.

-The same thing happens with the Spanish subtitles in Kain's second fight.

SR2:
-In the cinematic at the beginning when Raziel approaches the broken Soul Reaver, you only see the zoom in and out effect of the camera, an effect that was applied in the original game is missing (motion blur?), without it, the zoom in and out looks horrible.

-When Raziel makes the animation of touching the ground when falling, the change of animation to idle or running is very bad, the transition seems to be badly programmed as it skips from one frame to another and seems to be teleporting, the same happens with the movement of the camera, it teleports when it makes the transition and it is very annoying, this also happened in the original version of the game, but it would be a nice touch to fix it.

How about the game has poor frame pacing in general. Never perfectly smooth.

Yes, the achievement triggers, but the in-game counter is not properly set, also, when in that area, it shows that you're in an entirely different place, that being the Sanctuary of the Clans.

The blurry effect was called "full screen effects" on the sr2 -setup launcher. yeah, it is missing and looks weird.

There is constant flashing/flicker on raziel's eyes and the pink orbs.

Apparently, even reaching the entrance to the chamber can trigger that

Add this to the list, after defeating Rahab, the doors to the sunken cathedral do not open up any like they should.
Fix: have to enter spectral realm and get killed to get out of Rahab's domain and spawn back under the abyss.

Collect the reaver augment before you force yourself to leave, the doors remain closed off if you try to come back. hope this softlock gets patched.
