Wouldn´t mind a BO1 remaster, for BO2 i wold suggest a Remake as there was some plot holes (or a new game to clear them up).

I'd like remakes of both Blood Omens, but yeah while BO1 is crusty it's charming. BO2 often feels borderline unfinished and the story is a big part of it.

The Eternal Prison for example; fantastic concept and the level looks cool, but its existence raises way too many unanswered questions that really need addressing.

I would like that, but BO1 is unlikely due to licensing issues, and BO2, despite its flaws, is the one with the best chance if Soul Reaver 1 & 2 is a success.

If this combo pack becomes a success then it stands to reason that they'll do another collection to finish off the rest of the legacy games. Blood Omen 1 in particular would certainly benefit from a remaster given how much cut content there is for that game.

I know people dislike BO2 a lot - but for me it was my introduction to Legacy of Kain universe - so it's very close to my heart!

I hope Blood Omen gets a remake rather than a remaster. The combat is quite janky and there are some levels that are utterly frustrating due their design.

But if Soul Reaver happens to bring back attention into the franchise, it would mean there's a big chance of these other games being revisited, and a smaller chance that they finish the legacy of Kain.

I yes please a Remaster of Blood Omen 2. :)

Would absolutely love a proper Blood Omen 1 port with controller support etc, but I think that IP is held by someone else. Could be wrong on that. I know Activision published the original game.

Blood Omen was recently rereleased on PSN and it's currently available on GOG. I think its legal troubles are in the past by now.

The GOG version does indeed have controller support by default. The only shortfall of the GOG version is that it doesn't fix the PC port's 40-frames-per-second cap. Since the gameplay speed is tied directly to the framerate, this means it's a slower version of the game than the PS1 version a lot of the time.

I say "a lot of the time" because the PS1 version suffered slowdown when things got busy, so the gameplay speed could fluctuate.

Thankfully there's a fan-patch you can find on PCGamingWiki that, with a simple drag-and-drop-and-replace into the GOG version's install folder, fixes the framerate issue and adds subtitles to the game, and also improves the FMV quality and such. It's so easy to install it's barely a speedbump. I recommend it.

Blood Omen remake is unlikely because of licensing crap but maybe a Blood Omen 2/Defiance pack?
