Installing DLCs
This is also on the store page, but just in case you are new and trying to install a DLC:
To install this DLC, select the "Workshop > Browse Workshop" menu in the main window. Select the "DLC" tab and choose this DLC in the list. Press the Install button, and the DLC contents will be added to your current project.

If you have purchased the Professional Edition DLC for C++ support, simply create a new game project and the C++ source and projects file will be created in your game's directory.

Today I purchased your Leadwerks game studio along with the Profession Edition DLC, however in the about dialog box it indicates that the studio is Standard. What needs to be done, if anything, to allow the Profession Edition, or is it already installed without notifiying the about dialog box version. This may be a silly question. :steamhappy:

The Standard edition version is installed, but the first project is an indie project.

To start a Standard edition project, start a new project and select C++ instead of Lua

Thanks. :steamhappy: Noticing it after the fact left me thinking it was a silly question. lol

You'll need a copy of Visual C 2013 or better IDE for coding in C.

Since I am a GNU/Linux user, I will be using Code::Blocks IDE.

and Code::Block is free, so your good to go...

An update will be posted shortly. Thanks for pointing that out!

May sound like a stupid question (trust me, I got plenty of those), but can I code in C#?

Nope...
Lua and C++ only
C++ for low-level machine code, Lua for easy and fun game scripting.

My leadwerks engine will not launch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but when I tell it to launch it spins, syncs, and then does nothing. Please help.

It takes a while (like 15 minute for the first time)

I've never heard of this.

Are you subscribed to a huge number of Workshop items maybe?

That happens if you have a load of Workshop items and DLC to load in when you boot up the first time.
