This was my first attempt of a speedrun. I did it for the achievement.
By the way, I saved/loaded between 2 saves to practice a stage before running it.
Very nice I'll try to beat it :D! (yeah my time was for the achievement too) I'll post your time on the description!
I wrote it in my original post :D
Did some hacky things. Used the fall-dash-jump-jump move more than once to trivialize a puzzle. Also, in the Crypt Room 2, you only need the red button; it's not hard to see how, and it makes things much easier and faster.
Hacky? As long as you didn't cheat with an outside program then the run is good. Using tricks in the game isn't hacky.
Hacky (adj), 3rd definition: (computing, informal) Using, or characterised by, hacks: poorly designed workarounds.
I was going for that sense. The term "hack" is used for a wide variety of things, and often has noting to do with cheating. Using tricks is absolutely hacky.
Well all speedruns use "hacky" tricks and such. There is almost no need to tell us that your run was hacky. Hacky just makes it sound like cheating. Anyway, good time. I added it to the list.
YES! I just got a really good time! 23:40 with 53/65 rooms done! I think i can easily beat this and maybe get 20 mins since the game trolled me a few times (explains the 23 deaths) and I lost like 2-4 minutes.
Yeah I made a mistake but I edited it to Limestone Quarry not Engine of Insanity. As for which can be done faster I believe Engine of Insanity takes the longest compared to Limestone Quarry and Lost City because it uses a lot of waiting and the use of the mouse which takes a while to get to places. Limestone Quarry's levels are really simple and can be done faster so I would do them instead of Engine of Insanity.
