Stella of the End is one of the most recent releases by Key with a scenario written by Romeo Tanaka, of Cross Channel and Rewrite fame.

It's pretty good! But it won't really set the world on fire or anything. It's a short 9 hour-ish linear VN that's very well written and consistently holds your attention, but by now it's a format we've seen a bunch of times already. This may sound too reductive, but it's basically sci-fi anime The Last of Us Part 1. It's got essentially the same premise with the same plot beats to the point of being very much predictable all the way to the end if you've experienced that game already: In a post-apocalyptic world where huge machines walk the Earth and have essentially destroyed human civilzation, making people regress to living in villages and settlements, Jude Gray is a Courier, which is essentially a tech scavanger who one day gets scouted by a mysterious old man for a mysterious delivery job that will pay him a fortune. When he retrives the package, he finds it's actually an advanced and extremely life-like android with the form a little girl. He names her Philia and the two begin a perilous journey through hostile terrain in order to reach Jude's client.

Despite the very predictable plot beats, the sci-fi ideas that hold it all together are really solid and clever, and the two main characters have very great chemestry. While not the focus, there's a few action scenes that really get your blood pumping, and the presentation is also very good and dynamic, though sometimes the lack of sprites for most secondary characters can give some scenes a feeling of "emptiness" despite the text describing there's multiple people around.
The OST is okay. It does its job, doesn't distract but nothing particularly memorable.

So yeah, it's a solid sci-fi melodrama that doesn't overstay its welcome, looks great and has some very neat ideas baked into its worldbuilding. The only weird thing left to say about it is I don't get why it's called Stella of the End. I assumed Stella would be the android's name, but nope. And the name or word Stella is just never mentioned in the VN propper, not once. Go figure.
