SteamVR

SteamVR

(Error 451) - "Your headset is connected to a host PC, but no video is being streamed"
Error 451 always pops up when I try go get into Steam Link. I am connected to the computer (with no cable) but then this error pops up and it forces me to exit the software. All i wanted to to was play a VR game I bought on steam.

This seems to be a common issue that started ~10 days ago and has something to do with SteamVr I believe.

Is there a fix? I'm experiencing this too out of nowhere. Same use-case as above.

There is a great workaround for SteamVR error 451: disable hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS).

Navigate to Settings > System > Display.

At the bottom, select the button labeled “Graphics” on Windows 11+ or “Graphic settings” on Windows 10.

If prompted, click Change default graphics settings.

Disable the setting for hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, and restart your PC.

Can confirm that this worked for me.

Thank you
