No desktop UI but steamVR is running
I've just reinstalled windows (11 pro N) as a clean install. Just reinstalled steam and steam vr but when i go to launch it, it shows as running but i am getting no UI on the desktop as i did before the reinstall.

I have tried:

Updating GPU drivers
Update chip set drivers
SteamVR Beta version / previous version
Moving USB slots
Reinstalling steam vr
Reinstalling steam
Installing all current windows updates

prior fixes for invisible dashboard
1) change which GPU the dashboard is using ( https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/16wdrhp/i_found_a_fix_for_those_that_have_a_invisible/ )
2) reboot twice ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/250820/discussions/0/4357871582651600863/?tscn=1713926869 )

Thanks for the reply, The issue turned out to be that i installed the `N` version of windows, a reinstall with normal fixed it.
