QUEST 3 CONTROLLER MODEL NOT WORKING!!
whenever i use my quest 3 controllers and meta quest 3S steamvr just shows them as gen 1 controllers. I WANT MY RINGLESS MODEL PLEASE HELP ME

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM IDK HOW TO FIX IT BUT ITS SO ANNOYING!

I tried swapping the files in the plus (which is the Q3/Q3S controller) and cv1 folders (with renaming the new .json to the old one's name) in SteamVR\resources\rendermodels\, and while that works, there are some issues like the triggers not animating properly and the thumbstick being misaligned. Hopefully they add official support in an update

what did you replace it with?
I noticed Steam kept using the models in the cv1 folders (oculus_cv1_controller_left/right), so I copy pasted the files from oculus_quest_plus_controller_left/right, removing the original .json and renaming the ones from the plus folders to be the same as the old ones from the cv1 folders. Again, this works, but not perfectly. I can live with the triggers being a bit wonky, but the thumbstick being misaligned was a dealbreaker for me. I tried messing with the values in the json, since it's the thing responsible for the animation, but I couldn't get it to work. For now I'm sticking with the original models, even if they don't match the physical controllers

Has there been any update on this? as still showing quest 1 model when using quest 3 when in Steam Home

Have the same issue is Steam Home. Quest 3 models work everywhere else in Steam VR, but in Steam Home they revert to original black oculus 1 controllers.
