Crash Message
I need to get footage of this game for a lore video I'm doing, but now that I have been trying to open the game, I get this super weird crash message. It reads:
"Fatal error:
[File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line 180]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x0 - 'S_OK'"
I tried rooting around in my local files on my computer but I couldn't find anything that was relating to this file. Is this some sort of backend issue, or is there something wrong with my copy? I uninstalled and reinstalled the game btw. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like an issue with the GPU. What GPU do you have and have you made a clean install of your GPU drivers at any point?

I’m running a RTX 4060, and I have not.

Then maybe try that.

I've tried a few times now, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've manually uninstalled and reinstalled my driver versions, as well as done it through Nvidia's platform.

Is your GPU overclocked? Either manually or by factory?

I don't think so? I checked other UE5 games that I had downloaded and I got the same error, so it's something to do with me.

If you know the exact model name on the GPU box then we can look it up if it is factory overclocked. Otherwise a progamm like MSI Afterburner might help seeing the clock speeds.

You can see the stock clock speeds here:

Anything above these is overclocked and some games don't really run well with overclocked hardware.

I've had the same problem across three different devices with different specs, that all meet requirements
