This game has the worse matchmaking system ive ever seen. It's not new player friendly at all, which isnt a surprise cause there hardly is any new people anyways so. It takes forever to get a match, and when you do its the same damn people that outrank you by a long shot.

Trust me, I don't like that Ronaldo is in the game either, hence why I didn't get it at launch (Salvatore has grown on me though).

I've been dooming about modern fighting games for a while, because I felt like they ruined one of my favorite fighting games with Granblue Rising and nothing else has felt right to me besides Under Night 2 (but maybe I'm just a boomer). This game is out of a bygone era and I mean that positively. High execution (pulling off zero frame supers may be the most satisfying thing in a modern FG), lots of mechanics that all serve a very clear purpose, characters that feel complete. Lots of love went into this game. Also they did Ken really, really well. He's pretty incredibly done.

The singleplayer content is lacking for those who care about it (but if you've been a Fatal Fury fan for a long time, some of the storylines in EOST/arcade, especially Terry and Rock, will be very cathartic for you) and online activity has fallen off a fair bit (which is very standard for SNK games because they have the reputation for being difficult), but if you don't mind mostly getting your games from asking on Discord and want a game that feels incredibly rewarding if you put the time into it, but is still fun to mash casually with your homies, CotW is stellar. Also it has Terry Bogard in it. We all love Terry Bogard.
