Also very much agree that selling based on our current inventroy should definitely be an option. Even just a flea market type sale option with a low markup of say 20% (poor customers pay 30%) It would at least stop us from sitting on items for weeks at a time without them ever selling... Maybe have a countdown so the flea market option is only available after a week to prevent people bringing everything back from a jhob for guaranteed instant sale sor something?
what annoys me is when orders want like 30 pallets of bricks, how are we supposed to do that...
-one or more items missing from your inventory, lost rep
-too many poor orders for crap nobody collects (common, planks, windows, bricks)
-orders just all mixed up, no auto sort (or at least appears to be), like why show me orders that need 10 pallets of bricks when I have 1 in my inventory, there's no way I'm going to go collect 9 more pallets in a day....for $263 or some unreasonable dollar amount.
On top of the order system needing a revamp, other things:
-freaking let me walk at normal pace when carrying items, I understand the realism, but this just detriments the gameplay.
-let me SEE THROUGH objects when carrying something that takes up 95% of my screen like a common washer for crying out loud.
-boxed items need to be highlighted when picking for an order, I have like 9 furniture shelf sections, show me where the ONE rare penant light is so I dont have to pull out the scanner and scan every single smaller blue box.
Man this game could be so great if they just fixed these QOL and featured things.
I have 19 furniture shelves in my warehouse. I have three shelves each dedicated to six different categories (some combined):
Bookshelf/Display Cabinet/Desk
Kitchen Cabinets
Lights
Bed/Washbasin/Shower
Dresser/Wardrobe
Coffe Table/Table/RTV Shelf
For each category, I have one shelf dedicated to common, one to rare, and one to premium. Once you organize it in your warehouse, then it's easy to know what shelf to go to.
The 19th shelf sits next to the loading/unloading dock, and I can quickly unload all furniture boxes into it. Then I edit the warehouse, drag that shelf to the other side of the warehouse, and then it's a short walk to put things onto respective shelves. Then back to edit the warehouse and drag the empty shelf back to the dock.
I only have Permit 2.
And then the order wants a premium couch. I've yet to see one in a Tier 1 or 2 contract that wasn't a client item. In other words, if you want to complete the order, you have to take contract penalties. And let's not forget, why are "wealthy clients" only wanting 1 item for $100.
Like an above reply mentioned, why not have clients order from our inventory instead of requesting items we don't have in stock. Small items become useless when you can't even sell them separatley (Steam won't correct the word).
Speaking of items, are there even furniture and home good stores in this fictional city? It's always the case of "client is moving out. take or destroy those items." If it's not a full demolition job.
I hate how some people are looking for basic lighting fixtures about half the time, since I just break that ♥♥♥♥ for being cheap Ikea garbage.
And yet the blue print SPECIFICALLY shows them there.
Whats going on guys?
It seems to me that your approach to this game is somewhat like playing darts blindfolded and in another room from the board.
SORT IT OUT.
