We're kicking off a series of Gift Marathons and decided to coincide the very first one with the new event. This means that you can receive the following rewards completely free of charge: Gold, Ether and Eternity Prisms, Transformation Masks, as well as Event Tokens: Bills of Exchange.

It often happens that, by the end of the match—or even at around the middle point for some of the more audacious heroes—the abundance of different skills active at the same time makes it difficult to see what's actually going on behind all the special effects. The battlefield situation should be crystal clear to our Brave Ones, so that they may come out victorious from any kind of situation. That's why we present a new addition to the game's settings menu, currently running in test mode — the graphical effects transparency slider!
The lower you set it, the less noticeable the visual effects from your characters' skills will be. Feel free to customize this option as you see fit!


Being brave can be difficult... Some think that it's actually too difficult. That's why we've simplified many of the game's aspects that players can have trouble with when starting out. This includes the following:
Forest location will now be easier to clear, with significantly fewer monsters that can use the Dash ability;

• the Town Hall will now offer increased rewards for the missions in the Forest (up to Hellish difficulty), the Laboratory (up to Impossible difficulty), and the Cemetery (up to Medium difficulty) locations;
  
• there will also be increased rewards for killing bosses in the Forest (up to Hellish difficulty), the Laboratory (up to Impossible difficulty), and the Cemetery (up to Medium difficulty) locations;
  
• more rewards will be included in the location-specific and set offers for Forest, Laboratory, Graveyard, Mycelium, Beginner's Set, Eternity Set, Eternity Warrior Set, Eternity Explorer Set, Explorer Set, and Warrior Set. Up-and-coming Brave Ones will now have an easier time exploring new horizons!

The Academy approved a new curriculum, changing some disciplines, and putting more focus on some of the others. Here's the information we got about the changes from the Dean:

• for Quick Feet, support branch skill: Bonus increased from +5% on Legendary rarity and +7.5% on Mythical to +7.5% on Legendary and +15% on Mythical;
  
• for Magnetism support branch skill: The skill now only works for EXP, while the pick-up radius has been increased from 60%/100%/135% to 75%/125%/200% on Epic/Legendary/Mythical rarities, respectively.

Aside from Academy skills, certain special equipment item effects have also been updated, namely:
Warrior Greaves:

• +125% to EXP pick-up radius on Epic Rarity, instead of +100% general pick-up radius;
  
• +60% to EXP pick-up radius for every 10 levels gained during a match on Mythic Rarity, instead of +45% general pick-up radius.

Barbarian Boots:

• +125% to EXP pick-up radius on Epic Rarity, instead of +100% general pick-up radius.

Ronin Sandals:

• +125% to EXP pick-up radius on Epic Rarity, instead of +100% general pick-up radius.

Truffaldino Hero:

• +180% to EXP pick-up radius on Epic Rarity, instead of +150% general pick-up radius.

Three new, unique characters await you in the Portal of the Winter Cold. What can they do? What surprises do they bring? Let's take a look:

Legendary Support Hero.
Aurora grew up amidst the shimmering beauty of the snowy lands and the unearthly dance of the northern lights in the night sky. In her homeland, located at the heart of the frozen tundra, Aurora was revered as the goddess of prosperity and the bringer of good tidings. It's believed that those bearing her blessing are destined for greatness... And here's what she brings to the battlefield:

• Northern Lights. Aurora has a chance to summon the Northern Lights upon dealing damage with any skill. Opponents affected by their AoE deal less damage, their health is drained, and they're pushed away from the epicenter of the Northern Lights. Aurora herself, on the contrary, receives a temporary attack power boost;
  
• Frozen Waters. Water skills and their evolutions gain a chance to freeze opponents for 1 sec. Be careful, though, as this skill will only slow down bosses instead;
  
• +100% to Fire and Ice Dragons' and their evolutions' AoE;
  
• +125% knockback force;
  
• -15% Max HP.

• Wisdom of the North. Aurora has a chance to receive the Wisdom of the North buff upon dealing damage, significantly increasing the amount of EXP she gains for the next 6 sec. The skill then goes into cooldown for 50 sec.

Legendary Damage-dealing Hero.
It happens that, when the waves of ether twist and toss the souls of heroes around, sometimes two of them end up in the same body, thrown onto the shores of Singoru. Visconti is one such case, with two principles constantly fighting for control over his mind: an inveterate villain and a pure-hearted, righteous man... Which side will you support? And while you're pondering that eternal question, let's take a look at this hero's skills:

• Garment of Light. Upon dealing damage with a Holy skill, Visconti has a chance to gain the Garment of Light buff for 10 sec. In this form, the damage and AoE of his Holy skills will increase, and their cooldown time will be shortened. This ability can activate once every 45 sec.;
  
• Garment of Darkness. Upon dealing damage with a Spirit skill, Visconti has a chance to gain the Garment of Darkness buff for 10 sec., boosting the damage, projectile count, and knockback of his Spirits skills. This ability can activate once every 45 sec.;
  
• Intertwined Fates. The Thread of Life and Thread of Fate skills drop 5 times more often;
  
• +1 revival at the start of the match;
  
• +1 Thread of Life skill level at the start of the match;
  
• +1 Thread of Fate skill level at the start of the match;
  
• +1 Samsara Carpet evolution level;
  
• -25% item pick-up radius;
  
• -60% item pick-up speed.

• Ideal Garment of Light. higher Garment of Light activation rate, and its cooldown time is reduced to 20 sec.;
  
• Ideal Garment of Darkness. higher Garment of Darkness activation rate, and its cooldown time is reduced to 20 sec.

Epic Defense Heroine.
Can you feel it? The air's full of electricity, and the clouds grow darker and heavier, about to burst into thunder and lightning. It's the perfect time for Tempesta, the dweller of storms, to make her entrance, ready to bring down the wrath of the heavens onto her enemies' heads!.. And now, let's take a careful look at this character's abilities:

• Wrath of the Heavens. Has a chance to bring down the Wrath of Heavens onto the battlefield upon dealing damage. This AoE skill deals damage to opponents and stuns them for 3 sec. Be careful, though, as this skill will only slow down bosses instead;
  
• Healing Winds. Every time Tempesta dodges an enemy attack, she heals for 2% of her Max HP;
  
• +6% projectile speed for every 5 levels gained during the match;
  
• +2% evasion rate for every 5 levels gained during the match;
  
• +50% AoE size to Lightning Strike skill and its evolutions;
  
• -3% skill duration for every 5 levels gained during the match.

• +2% movement speed for every 5 levels gained during the match.

• -3% skill cooldown time for every 5 levels gained during the match.

Three new, unique weapons await you in the Portal of Snow Fighting. Let's hear it for:

Legendary Cold Biter.
When equipped, grants the Ice Dragon skill.

• +30% Ice Dragon skill damage on Uncommon Rarity;
  
• +5% to all skills' damage on Rare Rarity;
  
• +1 Ice Dragon skill level at the start of the match on Epic Rarity;
  
• +350% Ice Dragon skill knockback on Legendary Rarity;

When equipped, grants the Thread of Life skill.

New heroes mean new achievements. For those who enjoys updating their profiles, both in-game and on Steam, we've prepared 3 new achievements linked to Aurora, Visconti, and Tempesta.

The newcomers Aurora and Tempesta have already received their first skins:
Exalted Aurora: 5% more EXP drops from enemies;
Exalted Tempesta : +0.7% Max HP for every 10 levels gained in the match.
