I was told by other players that steam updates could be the issue. Someone else reinstalled the game entirely. My guess is you need to update steam. Please try that first.

In any case, I'll look into this shorty and hopefully have an answer for you.

K so i tried several servers and I couldnt repro this. What I'd like to ask players is to provide logs for me.

The logs should be in your documents folder in mygames -> Nether -> NetherGame -> logs
Please post Launch and Launch2 in pastebin and post a link.

Thanks!

Launch: This is your issue -> You cannot join the match because the host has downloadable content you do not.

Launch2: This is your issue-> You need to enter a password to join this game.

Looks like there is a useful server response. So would it be possible to add a notification for the user (feature request)? Not knowing why joining a server was always an issue in the past.

how can i bypass these issues? i have no idea what im doing i just wanna create a server for my friend and i . i know i set a password for it so it is just us 2 but it doesnt even come up with a place to put a password. just says servers full..

Setting a password requires you to run the application with a launch option with the server ip. Right click Nether in steam-> properties -> launch options.

Theres a reason the launchnetherserver application lists passwords as advanced. It would be easier not to password protect it and just set it to max of 2 people.

UI updates to address this issue will be in the next patch.
