when using texture overide my game crashes before it can even show logos or anything...any way to fix this?

I don't get it deep red negatives? They only ask you for a buck on sell, had cards and achievements, hasn't crashed once on me.. Is a fun open ended resident evil survival horror game. Has interesting sim mechanics, lot of good stuff. Why are people attacking this game so brutally? Honestly wasn't even expecting it to be this entertaining at the price. The leads a mental case but he's funny and kinda likable. And the movie dialogues in his car are great lot of these films I've also seen....

I have decided to install this game thinking about going for 100% and I have only encountered compatibility problems, crashes and bugs when trying to use it. Now my problem is that I'm still on chapter 1, episode 6. The part where I have to go talk to the people from 15:00 to 17:00. I was collecting bones, cards and trying to do some secondary missions, making time for 15:00 to get on the way to the main mission. I played this game back in the day on the 360. It always had a lot of mysterious charm to it. Now I'm tempted to get this at 95% off currently but even though it's very heavily discounted, reading all the talk about crashes is putting me off. Is it that much of a pain to work around or would you still recommend the game?...
