RNG has too much influence / more control please

Great game, but currently with the RNG and food demands I see no way to beat the first mine. I hope I do not have to use the cook, because with the cook the RNG even becomes more important. Suggestions to lessen the RNG influence and give us more control: 1.: Bat nests have to spawn in a way that the current set of gnomes can destroy them directly. The current food demand is so high that any bat +1 seems to be game over. Atm a 7 HP bat nest can e.g. spawn with not a single free field around. 14 HP bat ne...

Desert Level (Balance Issues)

So far loving the game and have just over 20hrs played, However, took me a while to figure out how to beat the bird and level up accordingly all while saving enough food. Was so excited when I finally won as I was about to stop playing for a bit. Now the desert level is very unfair and I think needs some balancing. No idea how to get and save enough food to progress. I always die within the first few caves. Any tips how to manage this level? I think the game overall is amazing and one of my current favori...

Food needs are insane

I get to the second worm phase and I need 49 food per turn, and all my materials are going to the cook so I have nothing to buy more Gnomes with if any die, and I can never afford upgrades from the shop. am I doing something wrong? This feels impossible after the chicken was so easy...
