Don't do it, I have been following the game since "early" early access... From my summarization of the last 2 years of forum posts... most people who buy this have technical problems (crashes, just not working) and those that dont (me) eventually get bored with the sheer lack of content.

You might consider this game because of the low price, but if you are willing to spend a little bit more for a refined space 4x game, buy Master of Orion (the new one that just came out this year). When I got the game, I was immediately struck by how similar the UI and gameplay was to this game. Its almost like its a carbon copy with everything refined, fixed, and updated. There is a ton of content, and a lot of replay value. But most importantly, its easy to start a public multiplayer game so you have some replay value, something this game was lacking.

If after that you still want to buy it... Well I played it for 127 hours, so I won't blaim you :)
