It is actually the same Developer and CEO of the previous company. He posts that he was one man of six, but the other five were all art and music people. He was the sole "developer" of the first game. https://web.archive.org/web/20130818004241/http://www.arkavistudios.com:80/about.html
He even changed profiles between games:

Gives this as an explanation for anything...but notice no post on this forum about it?

Yup, took the money, gave excuses and promises, and ran to another title/studio.
Iceberg have been amazingly complicit.
I knew the game was left unfinished, but to have the balls to leave this pinned and confirm it's abandoned. That's a new low I've never seen, lol
Stellaris has a few annoying design decision on their system such as; forced to watch from above the plane of the star system.
Sins of Solar Empire did mechanics better, but i had to congratulate Dawn of Andromeda for the graphics despite the entire system being bad.
I even made a topic recently about hopes only to have come to the conclusion that well, you guess it.

I hope one day an actual developer can create a real time 4X with deep just like Stellaris but with better visuals.
It would become quite a meme if there are plans to screw customers for a 4X in 2023:
Lords of the Black Sun
Dawn of Andromeda
Pax Nova
4th Shifty Shovel
Instead of making a bunch of garbage every 3 years with AVOID stamped over all of them, Iceberg/Mike should instead aim for one decent game for the 4X genre that would sell because it's worth playing and recommending to others. #ConstructiveCriticism
