I've played Wiz 8 a lot but I never did try multiclassing any of my chars and want to remedy that. From what I've read you lose access to all special abilities of your starting class and all the skills stop progressing (unless the new class also has these skills). Which leads me to believe that the best classes to multiclass out of would be casters. I wanna do the following. Alchemist fairy into ninja later on. Mage elf into samurai. Priest into valkyrie. Psionic into monk. Bard and fighter for being hard...

This is an observation of an unexpected side effect (I guess I could have predicted it, but I did not and was pleasantly surprised). Typically earlier in games my parties would go for Umpani and/or T'Rang quests relatively early, when the Experience from them might be almost all of a full level or two. In my testing to extend the game (for fun, difficulty and having magic fully blossom) into the mid-twenties of level. This is a single player game so many of us set boundaries we must not go beyond. However, doing so has consequences.
