Have u ever tried... this one? Co-op
okay so the steam page shows its singleplayer and ofc yall probs gonna say the EXACT same to me. BUT Resident Evil 5's page also says its single player but u can play online multiplayer connecting in a very specific way, as shown in this vid:
https://youtu.be/iRgBC362Eos?si=wCZpePrm4QsWvBN1

so i wondered if someone already tried something similar. in re5 u could only do this in a specific menu (where the co-op option is not even shown) before beginning to play, and with a steam menu to unite to a friend's party.

like sure probs it wont work or maybe yes since its a little complex to come up with this idk. lemme know if someone has tried this out or is willing to try it. (we dont have anything to loose lol)

did you find out?
Based on past posts (been looking) it says it doesn't have co-op, some idiot made the remark about reading the steam page but in the description it has

"This new co-op play combined with enhanced in-game physics will further enhance the idea that “PlayStyle Matters” – a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines, but with consequences for their chosen actions."

So it does actually state co-op BUT doesn't have co-op (allegedly)
so ive been literally searching the internet trying to find a mod for DEM2 multiplayer for pc build, i havent found a thing. i dont think its actually possible for the co-op feature in this co-op game. maybe if you can somehow take the files from the console builds and import it to the pc build it'll work? im not quite sure though how you would do such a task however.

Sure? It's right here on the store page "This new co-op play combined with enhanced in-game physics". Also there are many references about the co-op, and about the mod.

However no co-op and no steam deck support. I'm out.

Yea thats why i never bothered to buy this game, it has no co-op support like the original but it looks like they literally copied and pasted the game description off the wii version including the part claiming it was co-op.

That tells me the fact they couldnt even write a proper description for their version... minimal to no effort was put into this port... just a sleezy cash grab.

there are options in the files for co-op, but as far as I know, no one knows how to make it work. I've tried and nothing

The functions for multiplayer were stripped out, it has to be modded in. I've managed to get it to work before but it was quite messy. I'm not sharing it right now as it barely works and I'm not happy with it.

This port of the game is based off the PlayStation Vita port. The Vita obviously can’t do splitscreen as it’s a handheld console, so they stripped out all of that and replaced it with Adhoc (allows wireless local multiplayer). Since Windows doesn’t support Adhoc, they simply axed multiplayer all together and called it a day. A similar story can be seen with the save file selection screen, which is absent here as a Vita would have no reason to possess it since each user gets their own saves anyways.

Maybe reverse engineer the adhoc multiplayer and improve it for PC?
