Game is actually pretty good..
The ambient music, the creepy yet beautifully gorgeous post-apocalyptic Earth.

Yeah, the fighting and wall-climbing is a bit generic, but the story is good and plays well enough.

An argument can be made that the camera's weird angles and swinging around is less than helpful, especially when navigating some of the Prince of Persia style ledges and buildings.

And the whole premise of the game and what Trip does to Monkey at the beginning... I would have gouged her eyes out with a spoon before I was done with her.

But, the voice actors do an amazing job, and Trip has to be one of the most gorgeously rendered females I've ever seen. Whoever designed her did an outstanding job, as well as whoever did the mocap for her... wow.

Monkey is a great character. He's supposed to be this brutish beast of a character, but he's much deeper than that.

This game should have been more popular than it was. I'm just surprised, even with the few arguably important negatives the game has, that it didn't do better. The game's jumping mechanics are a lot simpler than they first appear, and the combat is varied enough to be interesting, sorta reminiscent of Darksiders with the moves and takedowns, but not as detailed as that series. Still, I'm not very far in, like maybe Chapter 7 or so, but it's a lot better than I expected.

Oh wow, just found out that Lindsey Shaw is the voice actress and character model for Trip. Nice!

I always liked her on Ned's Declassified; great actress. No wonder Trip is such a great character. Still don't like the character, for what she does, but good job Lindsey. :-)

And it never got any better... crazy weird camera angles, strangely spastic aiming controls, but nice graphics and a decent story. Pigsy was the best character, Monkey was good, but Trip —looks aside; and voice actress— you can just go jump into a Sarlaac pit for all I care.

Glad I played it, but also glad it was CHEAP. I can easily see why this game failed miserably. So much potential. And the best locales in the game were quickly gone and done early on, and then it was just industrial wastelands and scads of machinery and cogs and lasers. The epic post-apocalyptic nature-overrun areas at the beginning were the best. Pigsy's water / tunnel areas were just abysmal, and the last parts... ugh.
