Jumping from pipes on a corner

I have a real problem with this, every time I jump on a pipe that needs me to 45 deg jump, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ itself, it's obviopus that's what I need to do?

Me as well, I don't know what to do.
Sometimes if I restart the game it sorts itself out, sometimes not, I can't get past stage 4 for this reason!
