How to play Deathtrap Dungeon in Windowed Mode.
Any body who has played this game will know that it has no option to play in window mode (At least for the steam version, not sure about gog), so i figured out how you can do it, hope it will prove helpful to others.

First How not to do it: The game has no InI files to modify so you can't do that, and I tried the program shortcut trick but that just caused the mouse to bug out for some reason, wouldn't recommend trying it.

How to do it: Download DxWnd [sourceforge.net] (I'll assume you know how to use 7zip/Winrar) In the folder you downloaded find the application titled "dxwnd", it will have an image of green, red, and blue circles arranged in a triangle next to it; I recommend creating a "dxwnd" desktop shortcut, reason explained further below.

Click ok on the pop-up, then a blank white window will appear, click on edit; on the drop down menu that appears click Add, a new window titled "New" will open.

Under the "Main" Tab, next to the white text box titled "Path:", click on the "..." button, it will open up your files, so you'll have to find were ever you keep your steam games installed.

Once you open the deathtrap dungeon folder, Double click on the application titled "DD_CD", the install directory will now be in the "Path:" text box.

On the "Main" Tab, under the three text boxes, there is a bunch of blank check boxes listed under "Generic", Make sure The "Run in Window" box is checked.

Click ok at the bottom, and you'll be taken back to the blank white window, except no there is DTD logo with "DD_CD" under it, click it, you should now be playing the game in windowed mode.

You have to use the "dxwnd" shortcut if you want to play in window mode, that's why I recommended creating it.

You'll probably find the window your playing DTD on to be to small, so go back to "dxwnd" window, and right click the "DD_CD" icon, and on the drop down menu, click modify.

The "New" window will appear, but now it should be titled "Target #!".

Under the "Generic" check boxes, there will be a several stuff under the "position" title, that will allow you to modify the DTD window; if you got this far through what I am sure are horribly explained directions, then you'll probably be able modify the stuff under "position" easily enough, so I'll end this here.

Had trouble trying to get this to run in DxWnd, but I figured out a solution.

The issue is that even if you set it up to run in DxWnd (current version has a config for Deathtrap Dungeon you can import i, though you need to change the file paths), the starting video will play in a window, but as soon as the game actually starts, it will go back to full screen. The reason for this is because of nGlide, which seems to override DxWnd.

The solution I found was to create a folder inside the Deathtrap Dungeon directory, and move the Glide DLLs into the folder. From there, you should be able to start Deathtrap Dungeon with DxWnd, and it will run in a window.

The files you need to put in the folder are:
glide.dll ; glide2x.dll ; glide3x.dll

I dunno if you can get the game to run in a higher resolution without Glide. There are resolution sizes in DxWnd, but I don't know if it affects the actual resolution the game runs in.
