Disposing of ingots in large quantities
Looking back at old replies to similar questions and I tried a grinder pit-- only to find out it won't touch ingots, ore, or components (then I read the wiki which says this). Specifically, it's (2Mkg) silicon I'm trying to get rid of as there's little use for it compared to the iron and nickle I get from stone processing. While an incinerator block would have been awesome if Keen ever made one I'm wondering if my only recourse is a pit and dumping the silicon ingots into it like a landfill, hoping the trash collection function will delete some of it before I'm lagged to heck.

just dump it on the ground and let it despawn

you can put it on a large cargo container, grind the container down and it will be on a single temporary container. use a gravity generator to send it away to never be seen anymore.

I did try dumping the ingots directly from a connector but it just piled up without any real despawning going on. The dumped stone from a mining job on a asteroid 20km away were also still there when I went back a game session later too.

I've since just given up on it all and just gotten a incinerator mod block to "eat" the unwanted stuff. I assume MP servers have much more aggressive trash collection settings than my solo offline sessions? Might be MES fiddling with it, or the scenarios? I know Scrapyard turns it all off but this is Aggressive Acquisitions.

Hand grinder can destroy everything it grinds.
It'll take time tho, so 2nd best thing to do would be to put it all into rocket and yeeet it into the unknown.
