its better to die as much as possible than surviving (can break friendship)
im saying this from perspective of a guy who played a decent chunk of time and without a shadow of a doubt, people who play Space engineer died in the most whimsical ways possible (capac-ing is one of em)

the penalty of completely, and absolutely LOST all LEVEL of your buff and perks attached to it in a single death is ludicrous

i had a hunch on how to "fix" (as in fixing a dam of problem with ducktape) this the simplest way. and that is not NOT instantly lose all of that survival progress from dying.

fact that people with level 5 survival buff (which takes a long time to get btw (surprisingly not me)) capacced with someone drill rig (me) because of lag is surpsiingly makes you angry

This is a game or server option setting, but I agree that the current setting used on the Keen Official servers is too harsh, and of course the majority of players setting up their own servers don't look at or can't find the documentation on the setting specifics, or the rental companies don't even include the setting in their user interface...
Everyone have played for years without any player buffs. Now that we can optionally get them, losing them is such a great issue? What? I'm sorry to say this but for one, I think this is an issue of mindset, viewing bonus boons as enshrined rights, and it's a skill issue, on the other hand. I mean... just don't die? Don't jetpack into mountains, don't try to deflect bullets with your helmet, don't get a fatal doseage of radiation, don't forget to BREATHE, refill your energy, eat occasionally, and try to establish OSHA-compliant working spaces.
