Error in "Lost Colony" scenario
The "Lost Colony" scenario packaged with the game has an error in it's setup. The NPC factions include several different ones for various categories of grids, but the relationship between two if them is incorrectly set to "War". This means that defensive turret emplacements belonging to the SVD (Sunset Valley Defences) will shoot the facilities they are meant to defend, belonging to SVR (Sunset Valley Region). This results in serious damage to the Vaughan brothers facility, the Com Tower, and the Vasquez facilities. It also makes those defensive turrets useless against the player(s), since they expend all their ammo in the first 5 minutes or less after the scenario loads for the first time.

Hi, you have to use the report links added to pinned important, here on Steam is more to chat with players.

Note

You may use the Portal search tool to see if one of the participant already reported before creating a new report.

+ Better create a new Portal Bug Report if there are very old reports that does not match the new game version.

Played Lost Colony a few times and this never happened to me. Of course, if you grind your way into Vaughn Bros the turret will destroy blocks trying to get at you but that's always been the case with SE.

Having a similar issue, interior turrets damage the Vaughn Brother buildings, their home and their mine, as soon as the scenario is loaded, the turrets aim for and open fire on these buildings just like the OP says. Looking for answers on the internet and on the KSH bug reporting sight, no answers or fixes that I can find yet. Is it possible to somehow fix this and keep this from happening before I load the scenario, is this not a bug and a part of the scenario?

The only way to know more is to create a new 2025 Bug Report on the Official SE Support Portal since the game is not the same version today, even better if you can add the save in the report so they load for testing and reply.

Hey Dan, you are always faithful, nothing but respect to you. I submitted a bug report on KSH portal about this issue, they were able to reproduce the incident. It's being addressed, i followed your recommendations on this post. Semper Fi Dan
