Update 2.303 removes the “beta” tag from Homeworld Remastered Collection’s cross-platform online multiplayer, while also introducing many fixes for outstanding issues.

Here is the full list of changes:

* Fixed various issues preventing players from joining a multiplayer lobby

* Fixed an issue causing a lobby to not appear in the lobby browser after expanding the maximum number of available slots

* Fixed an issue causing the lobby chat to not always load

* Fixed an issue causing some players to be removed from the lobby when another player exits

* Fixed an issue causing the lobby name to be invisible

* Fixed an issue allowing everyone in the lobby to manipulate options instead of only the host

* Fixed an issue causing 8-player matches to desync

* Fixed an issue preventing players to properly connect to the lobby browser, forcing them to restart the game

* Fixed an issue causing players to be stuck on "Joining Room" after ending a multiplayer match

* Fixed an issue causing the "Joining Room" message to appear every time a player would join the lobby browser

* Fixed an issue causing the host to lose connection upon entering the match

* Fixed an issue preventing the 8th player of a lobby to join on the first attempt

* Fixed size and responsiveness issues affecting the Homeworld 3 pop-up

* Fixed an issue causing the game launcher to show a "Connecting to SHiFT" message erroneously

* Fixed an issue causing the lobby list to display unavailable lobbies

* Fixed an issue causing the global and friend chat to be duplicated

* Fixed an issue causing players to join a new empty lobby when trying to join an existing lobby

* Fixed an issue causing players in a lobby to all appear readied up when one or more have not checked their ready box

* Fixed an issue causing display issues when joining the game lobby chat a second time after a game restart

* Fixed an issue causing the host name in a lobby to not be visible to players

* Joining a lobby after several consecutive matches is now more reliable

Update 2.302 includes:

• Fixed lag / stuttering experienced in multiplayer menus (lobby and lobby browser)

• Fixed a bug that caused some players to be misidentified in chat and in-game lobbies

Oggi abbiamo pubblicato l’aggiornamento 2.300 per la Homeworld Remastered Collection su Steam. Il gioco dovrebbe aggiornarsi automaticamente. In caso di problemi, riavviare il client di Steam.  

L’aggiornamento 2.300 aggiunge la Homeworld Remastered Collection Multiplayer Beta, che consente il multigiocatore multipiattaforma tra Steam ed Epic Games Store mediante il sistema SHIFT. L’account SHIFT non è necessario per accedere al multigiocatore, ma comporta diversi benefici, alcuni dei quali descritti di seguito[shift.gearboxsoftware.com].

We’ve released Update 2.300 for Homeworld Remastered Collection on Steam today. Your game should update automatically, but if you’re having trouble, try restarting your Steam client.

Update 2.300 adds the Homeworld Remastered Collection Multiplayer Beta, which enables cross-platform multiplayer between Steam and the Epic Games Store using our SHiFT cross-play system. A SHiFT account is not necessary to access multiplayer, but there are many benefits to having an account, all of which you can learn about here.

Various minor fixes have also been included.

- Resolved a memory fragmentation error which could lead to crashes.
- Homeworld 2 classic properly responds to -locale command line
- Fixed a crash when a missing mad state was called.
- Fixed exploit where hyperspacing mothership would allow autocapture of ships already headed toward it
- Frigates and Corvettes now attack more consistently. (With Balance tweaks to account for this)
- Fixed issue when loading old campaign persist files (ships missing when in legacy strikegroups)
- Fixed weird cursor skin issue when hovering over certain buttons
- Ships no longer overshoot kushan carrier docking bays
- Fixed mouse speed issues on giant multiscreen display setups and added command lines to future proof it a bit. -CameraDragX -CameraDragY. (Multiplier)
- Fixed issue where a few ships had missing geometry, textures, odd normals, etc.
- Tweaks to primary ship shaders for improved visual fidelity, speed.
- Cryotray and transports can be sphere guarded now.
- Vaygr resource collectors no longer aspire to be archeologists.
- Mods - added traceHOD command line to ease tracking down corrupt or invalid files.
- Mods - ConfigFilter.lua - BasePath string allows specification of Player profile path for Mod data.
- facetAutoFOV - Command line property for use with facetCount to limit total horizontal FOV.
