they only went after steam so far. besides I think it would be a good idea if this H companies made there own gaming app like steam or epic. though I will agree this is a very slippery slope . almost reminds me of what I heard of prohibition of the 1920's

That is not the case, actually. There already had been news of the payment processor denying services to Japanese content sites with adult material since last year, 2024. Some of those site had to shut down.

Seems you don't know anything about ichio or kagura.

Are they not just allowing you to buy say a steam card or steam currecy to get past this Visa/Mastercard crap? Just byuing steam cards/currency with your card?

No! I had this on my wishlist :-(

House Chores just got kicked off ichio so don't think the actual adult gaming sites are safe, hell, the campaign that caused this is really after ALL porn, even legal stuff gated on adult sites.

All porn? Oh, you sweet summer child... that group has gone after GTA5 and Detroit: Become Human, with varying success, in the past. They're also gone after work uniforms with puns, and as far as I can gather, a ton of female clothing.

I just had the pleasure of reading the moon logic titled "Why Consent is not enough" (https://x.com/SmokeOfC87/status/1948807816153891000) that they promoed on their main acc.

They're also going after a variety of things, including twitter itself.

They're not after porn, they're after control. And their weapon of choice is called Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

You'll have to forgive me, they didn't enter my field of knowledge until now, too much hard news that I miss out on most of the internet drama. I knew they were nuts, just didn't read yet about how far reaching they are trying to be. But the weaponizing of payment processing is a shrewd and potentially effective strategy
