One change...
One change could turn this game around.

Sure some small fixes here and there would be fun and okay.
Don't need to rewrite the entire thing just a few fixes (hoses floating causing lag)..

The "Change" however, is this....

Multi-player games:

Player vs Player: Each person 1 vs 4 , or teams (2 v 2) starts out in a corner of the map.

Literally land near a space shuttle.
Loaded with only a car.

Objective: Refuel the Shuttle 100% including a food store (that keeps count).
Some supplies will drop (tools, empty canisters, and the other things you need to get to mining or gathering supplies.

Distance is a long way away from the other camps.
This ain't a shoot-em-up anyway.
The idea is to LIFT OFF FIRST!


Furthermore, you could adapt a longer "Economy game" and place the emphasis on who can gather a random spin of goods at start:
Within a certain time frame (say a couple hours (or whatever the group decides).
You gather something that takes at least 2-3 steps to manufacture.

Winner is the one at the end that has the most of 3 out of 5.
If there is a draw, then the objective changes to who can lift off first. :D


Cooperation Mode change:

I had some ideas but I forgot them... so this would be just a free nilly fun thing...
Each camp has to trek to the center (smaller map) and build a four bedroom space habitat.
Complete with Oxygen, food stations, water ...etc.

They start out in the center of each corner in a small room to sleep in.
Some tools will drop but everything has to be made.

I figure 3D printer will have to be manufactured and the players will have to build a mobile lab or something (maybe one of the objectives)?
Each player starts out with a truck

Actually the game could do exactly what you asked for here. It has multiplayer and a scenario-editor. The editor takes a while to master, but it is very flexible.

The game also has a lot of great extra content in the workshop. Both scenarios and other content. As far as I know nobody yet has made what you ask for, but it is possible.

If you like slow buildup and long economy you might want to look at some of my scenarios like SETL or Gusev Antenna. These are SP though.

Whatever you do I would play the tutorial and campaign first. These are really good and you are guided through the basics in a beautiful way.
If i did play with others, Co-Op style would be my style. I sometimes do that with a private PvE group in another game. Never felt the need with this game. Guess I prefer going solo with this one.
