Tactical, fun, stylish, good difficulty scaling.

A strategy game that is more challenging than it may seem. I think it could have spent a little more time in the early levels explaining some mechanics that are not entireley clear. I gave up on it for now but one day, with a little more patience, I will give it another chance to complete it.

This was on my "maybe play" list, couldn't decide if it was for me. Then I saw that one of the Klei staff had shared some Invisible Inc (+DLC) keys and managed to snag the last one for myself.

(Note that I only played with the DLC enabled, I did not try with it off.)

This is a very interesting take on the genre that I found quite enjoyable. The mechanics are clear and fair, and you have some agency in how you play the game. The information you need to make intelligent decisions is provided in one way or another, and the interactions between your agents and the environment feel thorough.

My only gripe is that this is rather short -- I assume this is by nature of the game & its genre: you don't want a run to feel like it's taking forever. It has the same kind of replayability you would see in "Into the Breach", but does has more variation between runs & the runs do take longer.

The game additionally has mod support as well, which is always a good thing in my opinion.

Overall, If I had known previously what I know now, I would have decided to get the game once it went on sale.

It's fine but it's not for me. I'd recommend but there is a lot of visual noise and the walls make it hard to see stuff.
