Apparently, many games which have been ported to Linux (eg. Dying Light, Dead Island) fail to run, or are subject to random crashes if they are installed on an xfs or jfs partition.
I have tried to move the game file of BbF on an ext4 partition, and guess what? It works fine.

I have to admit I'm stunned by such a revelation (fs specific issue? How the heck did they manage to achieve something like this?). Anyways, I'd like to hear from other Linux users about this: if it's really just a matter of fs, and if more games are affected by this issue, we could be a step closer from finding a solution to it (be it fixing something in the port, or tuning our filesystems).
