Winner Announced for the Map Making Mod Competition!

Thank you to all the modders that submitted a map to the Rekoil Map Making Mod Competition! There were so many fantastic maps and it was truly amazing to see the creativity, teamwork, and skill of the modding community.

Map Making Competition "Play & Vote" Weekend Starts Now!

Join in and vote for your favorite map during the “Play & Vote” weekend from 12:00 noon PST March 14th through 11:45 PM PST March 16th.

Make sure to subscribe and download the following maps directly from Steam Workshop:

Steps required to ensure their proper installation:

Subscribe to all the maps in the collection by clicking the ” + Subscribe to all” button at the above link.
Confirm that Steam has downloaded the workshop files. You may need to restart Steam to start the download.
Once all the downloads are complete, go to your library, right-click Rekoil and click “Launch Workshop Manager (Preview).
Check the boxes next to all the subscribed maps and click “Update Selected Items” on the right side of the window. (This tool is still being improved so do not worry if after updating, the items still say “(Needs Update)”, you can just click ”Update Selected Items” an additional time to confirm.
Quit out of the Workshop Manager Tool and launch Rekoil.
Join the mayhem on the following servers (Team Deathmatch: Pingperfect.com : Rekoil : EU – Custom Maps (94.23.241.157:7786), Domination:Official Workshop Server.)

Community Game Nights!

We are pleased to announce that we have the first 2 weekly Community Game Nights planned starting right after the game launches. Join in and play with your friends, try out some user made maps from the Steam Workshop, throw digital grenades at strangers, etc.

Rekoil Release Date Change and Beta Completion Date.

The Rekoil beta period will end on December 15 at 12:00 a.m. PST and the team will now remain focused on preparing for the launch of the game. We want to thank everyone who participated in the beta and we are currently reading through your invaluable feedback. Thank you for taking the time to play the game and let us know your thoughts, we wouldn't be able to do this without it being a community effort!

Rekoil is now scheduled for January 28, 2014 release and is available for pre-order. The team is hard at work creating the purest FPS experience and we can’t wait for you to play. Happy Fragging!
