Anyone?

Windows 8 64 bit here, and it doesn't seem to do anything when I launch. It's probably just compatibility settings, as this IS a very old game. I'll post any success here...

Thanks for sharing. I tried this fix: "change fix_directx=0 to fix_directx=1 in the config file". But it doesn't do anything for me. Try it, maybe it can do something for you.

So far I've been able to get the Configuration window to pop up by telling falling.exe to run in XP compatibility mode with a Reduced color mode (16 bit), and disabled display scaling on high DPI settings - I wasn't even getting the config window before. Now I can get the intro screens to show, but then a black screen, with a popup on my desktop saying "Unable to open display." I'll keep workin' and searchin'...

It's strange that it's just two of us. I doubt we're the only users trying to run it with a 64 bit OS.

All of the others are lying, just to mess with us. ;)

Windows seven 64 bit here. It plays the intro just fine and then crashes before the menu.

I have Amd Athlon II X2 and Radeon HD 7750

How can they advertise for win 7 compatability when its not? Shame!!

Thanks for this; was going to pick it up but since I'm using Windows 8.1 looks like it's a no go.
